WHAT CAN YOU BRING TO A CONVENIENCE CENTER ?
- Convenience Centers accept:
- Household garbage
- White goods (stoves, refrigerators, metal)
- Brown goods (shingles, couches, mattresses, furniture, etc.)
- Yard waste (leaves, limbs, grass cuttings)
- Newspapers
- Cardboards
- Aluminum cans
- Metal cans
- Plastics
- Glass
- Convenience Centers do NOT accept:
- Hazardous waste including highly volatile, radioactive waste, and industrial, commercial, institutional, or residential waste which contains hazardous solids, semisolids, liquids, explosives, pathological waste, pesticides, toxic, highly flammable or corrosive substances, septic tank sludge, and biomedical waste. Examples: batteries, paint, etc.
- Loads of mixed construction and demolition waste. All loads must be separated in order for waste containing wood or metal materials to be placed in the appropriate recycling locations.
- Non-compactable waste. Examples: tires, concrete, brick, and asphalt.
