SERVICES PROVIDED:
The environmental compliance officer investigates and prosecutes various solid waste violations involving infractions of County Ordinances as well as State Law Violations. These violations involve unlawful dumping, litter violations and scrap tire disposal issues. The environmental officer also investigates violations of Erosion and Sedimentation Laws, working with developers and contractors to minimize harmful environmental impact resulting from land disturbing activities. Additionally, the environmental officer assists the Code Enforcement Office with enforcement of certain Housing Code violations, particularly Care of Premises and Dilapidated Structure violations of County Housing Codes.
